RIS is searching for an experienced, and customer support focused HPC Facilitator to assist researchers and students with enhancing their research project workflows. Through applications, and other information systems solutions within a high-performance computing environment, this postilion will support faculty researchers throughout all phases of moderately complex computing solutions, including installations, upgrades, software, hardware, operating systems, and operating system configuration issues. The team member will develop and implement training for researchers and students in the areas of simple scripting, software applications, data management, and security compliance. Experience working in higher education and knowledge of data workflows and informatics is a preferred. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in either computer science or a science related field plus three years experience in a high-performance computing environment, or equivalent combination of experience/education. Experience working with at least one statistical or computational environment (R, SPSS, Stata, Python, etc.). Knowledge and experience with the deployment of infrastructure systems (high performance computing, storage, network, databases, and virtualized systems).
