Below are milestones that will take place throughout fiscal year 2026 and continue into fiscal year 2027, until the decommission of Compute1.

Note: Condo owners will be contacted regarding the eligibility of their Compute1 Condos and will select a migration round.

No new hardware or network updates will take place after spring maintenance.
Subscription Service Tier
Estimated Date: July 1, 2026
The Subscription Service Tier will be retired.
Software Installations, Upgrades, or Bug Fixes
Estimated Date: After July 1, 2026
We will no longer install, upgrade, or perform bug fixes for OOD, THPC modules, or 3rd-party software (SMRT Link, Dragen, NVIDIA).
 General Access
Estimated Date: January. 1, 2027
New users cannot be added to General Access allocations on Compute1.
Compute1 Retired
Estimated Date: July 1, 2027
Compute1 will be retired, and all new allocation requests will be made on Compute2.
