To better support your grant planning, project proposals, and budget preparation, we have moved our Storage and Compute rate sheets and Cost Calculator tool from Box to the RIS website for a more streamlined user experience. We have also integrated a new Grants or Project Proposals page that provides the information needed to support your research.
❗️ What’s changed:
- Deprecation of Static Files: PDF rate sheets and Excel spreadsheets will no longer be maintained in Box.
- Web-based Cost Calculator: Easily input your project parameters to generate instant, real-time cost estimates for compute and storage.
- Single Source of Truth: The RIS website will now host the most up-to-date rates and calculator.
- New Grants & Proposals Hub: A dedicated page is now available featuring central guidance, support, and key details required for your grant applications and budget planning.

- Bookmark the New Resources: Save quick links to the Compute and Storage Rate Sheet , and Cost Calculator. (Note: These pages require WashU Key login via SSO).
- Try the Cost Calculator: Run a sample calculation to familiarize yourself with the new estimator.
- Review Current Rates: Check the current rate sheets to understand current pricing structures.
- Explore the New Grants & Proposals Page: Find essential resources and supporting documentation for your upcoming proposals.
