DESCRIPTION:\nRIS is hosting a hands-on training session\, Introduction to Command line. Designed to familiarize users with the command line\, especially the Linux-based command line\, and with navigating the Compute2 Platform via the command line.\n\n\n\n💡 What you'll learn:\n\n\n\n\nThe Fundamentals: The basic Linux command line commands.\n\n\n\nNavigating File Systems: How to use the command line to navigate files and data.\n\n\n\nSubmitting Jobs: How to use a Job Scheduler (Slurm) and submit jobs on the Compute2 Platform.\n\n\n\n\n❓ Why attend:\n\n\n\nAs research evolves\, the need for HPC resources increases\, and these needs can exceed what is possible through Open OnDemand (OOD). This seminar provides the basics to move beyond.\n\n\n\nPrerequisites: This training is for users with little to no knowledge of HPC systems. There are no real prerequisites. If you would like to follow along\, you will need a RIS Compute2 account.
